Pagan Art Journal: 52 Weeks

Okay, so in case things happen, like me going on vacation for 9 days, here is the WHOLE prompt list. i worked really hard on this, so i hope it helps. Remember if you need any help, check out aradiascaldron.com for her original pages. her art journal is beautiful. :)

Pagan Art Journaling:

week 1: Intention

what are you intentions for this project? what do you hope to get out of it? is it about healing, creativity community, or something else? think about what you want for yourself right now? what do you want to nurture and bring into your own life at the moment? you could find a word or quote or image that speaks to you right now and let it be your guiding light/idea/theme for this week, this month, this turn of the wheel, or the entire project. It can be whatever you like.
- for those doing a one word project, you can make this a page that meditates on the word you want to bring into your life at the moment

week 2: Heart/Love

what fills your heart with joy, with love with sadness? what lessons do you want your heart to remember? what does love/heart mean in relation to this path (for you)? what does the god and goddess bring into your life? how does love manifest itself in your daily world? what are you greatful for in the terms of the love you are given in your world? you can also include snippets of wisdom, images anything related to love.

week 3: I Believe

it's important for you to define where you want to go with it. it can be as big or as little as you want it to be. as serious or as playful. it can be about anything you choose to believe in fairies, dragons, the ocean, anything.

week 4: Nature

Go where you will with this. what does nature mean to you? how does it relate to your spirituality? Are you environmental? What nature gods/goddesses speak to you? How is nature part of your understanding of the mysteries? Magic and the natural world?

week 5: A letter to yourself (in relation to your path growth) in 5 years from now

where do you want to be? what do you hope to have learned? how do you think you'll have grown? it could be about continuing and realizing projects you are currently working on, and seeing them come into fruition. what would it mean for you? would it be mastering visualizations? a particular skill set?  frame of mind or attitude?

week 6: Goddess

This is left to your own interpretation.
if you're having a bit of trouble, here are some ideas: what does the goddess mean to you? what is your relationship with her? how do they manifest themselves in your life? do you have a particular goddess you work with?

week 7: Water

what does water mean to you? what does it evoke? how does it merge into your practice?

week 8: Realizations

what realization have you gone through lately?

week 9: Earth

what does the element of earth mean to you? how do you connect with this element?

week 10: Fear

what do you fear on this path? what things give you pause and make you wonder about paganism with apprehension? what things have you experimented with that have given you the shivers? how do you deal with your fears? what are some possible ways you can over come your fears?

week 11: Books

what books have you loved? which books have influenced you the most? what was the first book you ever read about paganism? and what did you think of it? what do you think of it now?

week 12: Best lessons from your family and friends and how it affects your path

what did your parents teach you while growing up that you still use in your practice today?

week 13: Prayers and Spells

What do you think? are prayers and spells different from one another? is one more effective than the other? work together? separately?

week 14: The Broom Closet

are you in or out? and why? would you want to change it? or are you happy with the way things are?

week 15: Dreams

what is your most recent dream that you can remember? what id your favourite to remember? what are your dreams? what do dreams mean to you?

week 16: Ethics

what ethical code guides your practice? obviously the most common moral maxim tat people in wicca talk about is:

"An' it harm none do what thou wilt."

do you buy it? what issues or benefits do you see from this statement? or another?

week 17: Pagan Pet Peeves

while we're not advocating a negative community bashing session, we all have our pet peeves and sometimes its good to give them voice.

week 18: What I wish others knew about my beliefs

we live in a world that can have a lot of misconceptions about various paths that we're traveling, so if you could what would you want others to know about your path?

week 19: Creating Sacred Spaces

what is a sacred space to you? how do you create it? can it be anywhere? is it all nature or are there a few elements that need to be added? how do you create sacred spaces in the modern world in an urban city?

week 20: Things you want to learn

Make a list of things you'd like to learn regarding your pathwork. they dont need to be in any specific order, or need a timeline.

week 21: When the going gets tough, how my path helps me.

what have you learned in your pathwork that helps you manage in tough situations? how do you apply your lessons to your life?

week 22: Fire

What does the element fire mean to you? how do you connect with this element?

week 23: Air

we've come full circle (out of order, but still) and are completing the last of the four traditional elements. what does air mean to you? how do you connect with this element?

week 24: Full Moon

When is the closest full moon at the time you are writing this? what does the full moon mean to you? what do you associate with it?

week 25: Charity

what does charity mean to you on your path? how do you define it? how important is it?

week 26: Magical Name

Do you have your magical name? what is a little bit of your name's history? what does it mean to you?

week 27: Divination

what forms of divination do you use/prefer? how do you go about learning them? do you feel naturally better at one form over another?

week 28: Afterlife

what do you think happens after you die? do you believe in an afterlife? do you think you'll travel to the Summerlands? or some other "mythical" land?

week 29: God

what is your relationship with the gods? what do they mean to you? how do they manifest themselves in your life? do you have a particular god you work with?

week 30: Community

what does community in the Craft mean to you? how do you build community with fellow witched? how does it affect your pathwork? what do you find most challenging in the dealing with communities?

week 31: Public Rituals

Have you ever attended a public ritual? what was the experience like? did you enjoy it?

week 32: Inspiration

what inspires you creatively and spiritually?

week 33: Growth

what prompts growth in your world? how do you react to change?

week 34: Letter to the Divine

At this point in your practice, what would you say to the gods if you wrote them a letter?

is happiness a choice? baring the special circumstances sometimes you just need to choose to be happy and appreciate those moments that bring joy in? what is your definition of happiness? what represents happiness for you? in life and your pathwork?

week 38: Learning the Tarot

some people just learn cards at random, some are very methodical, some rely on their books, others let the image speak to them and create interpretations of their own. What do you do?

week 39: Secrecy

what are your thoughts on secrecy? how do you think secrecy affects the pagan community?

week 40: Guided Visualization

whats your favourite visualization? how do you use them in your practice?

week 41: Guardians of the Watchtower (elemental)

who and what are the "GOTW" for you? do you invoke them in your circles?

week 42: What my paths mean to me right now

Why do you do this? why do you want to continue down this path? it's good to stop every once in a while to asses, re-asses, and restate your intentions/commitments, because over time your position in relation to things change.

week 43: Magic vs. Mysticism

which are you more drawn to a magical or mystical path? can the two intersect or are they mutually exclusive? if they are intersecting how can you realize that in your path? Do you need magic to be spiritual? is it necessary? what role does magic play in your pathwork? how often does it enhance your spirituality?

week 44: Spirits

do you believe in them? what do you understand spirits to be? what kind of experiences have you had with spirits?

week 45: Traditions

are you a part of a tradition? do you think being in a tradition is important?

week 46: Family

how do you share your spirituality with your children? your family? how do you navigate family events while staying true to your own ideals?

week 47: Symbols (literal vs metaphorical)

what do various symbols within your path mean to you? what does the symbol of the sun/sun at Yule mean to you? what other symbols (literal and metaphorical) within the tradition you follow mean to you? Is this time of year literally about rebirth of the god or is it more than that?

week 48: Evolution of your ideas about your path/faith

how have your views about your path changed/evolved?

week 49: Influential Pagans

who has influenced you along the way? who was the first the most and current pagan who influences, or inspires you the most?

week 50: Affirmations

what are some of your spiritual quirks? do you use affirmations? daily?

week 51: Self-Portrait

what are the roles you play or are given, both in your muggle life and in your magical life? what words best describe you in both worlds?

week 52: As Above, So Below

"the first step is completion and the last step is beginning"

Pag-cation!

Sorry for no posts, but we were on pag-cation for the whole week last week at a pagan festival. It was alright for the most part. This week we're doing week 2: Heart. I will post the prompts later, as I am currently.sitting in the hospital waiting for my ma to get her mri done. :)
